Talk. Tell your story. If you don’t say it, the judge won't know it.
Talk. Tell your doctor what you can and cannot do. If you don’t say it, your doctor won’t know it. Your health is the most important. Tell your doctor so that your doctor can help you improve your health.
It is worthwhile going through the application process even if you get denied. There is no downside.
A disability is not the end of a productive life. You can work even with a disability. Be mindful of your limitations. You can receive benefits and suspend them if you return to work.

Social Security provides insurance coverage in case you lose your functional capacity. It is an insurance policy that people pay for when they work. The coverage is for people whose medical conditions have reduced their functional capacity to the point where they can no longer perform the basic tasks of a job. They can no longer work.
